The Regulations of the Council of Legal Education provide for the establishment of a students' association at each of the Council's Law Schools. Your students' association at the Hugh Wooding Law School is known as the Students' Representative Council (SRC), and all registered students are eligible for membership. In order to become a member of the SRC, a student must first be elected by his or her peers at a school-wide election which is held every year.
The SRC is a representative group which works in partnership with the administration with the aim of improving the school for the benefit of the student body. The executive members of the SRC share the students' ideas and concerns with the administration and also organise several activities and social events during the academic year.
The SRC encourages all students to become involved in the various projects planned for the academic year. In addition to the events listed in the Calendar on the 'Activities & Events' page, the SRC plans to reform certain aspects of its Constitution to provide for better governance and also undertake several charitable outreach projects during the course of 2014-2015. The SRC Executive therefore urges all students to attend extra-curricular activities or to volunteer time and expertise to any project of special interest.
